Plant epiphytic, 4—10 cm tall, Stems stout, covered by leaf sheaths, Leaf 2-4, distichous, coriaceous, dull green and change to reddish purple when current year, oblong, apex unequally 2-lobed. 5—12 cm long, 1—2 cm wide, Inflorescences raceme 2-4, lateral or subterminal, erect, 5—12 cm long, 15- to 20-flowered. Flowers waxy and polished, widely opening, 1.5—1.8 cm in diam., sepals and petals deep reddish pink, lip pink or purplish, oblong, spur straight. Capsule ovoid, 2.4—3 cm long, 0.5—0.8 cm wild.

This species endangered and rare in Thailand, epiphytic on tree trunks in Deciduous dipterocarp forest or Dry evergreen forest; 700-1,200 m alt. Flowering : March-May.Thailand.—Northern and Western Distribution.—India, Nepal, Myanmar, China and loas.
